Modern day factories have complex piping systems. These piping systems carry hazardous, high temperature and corrosive fluids. At times there is a spray out due to flange leakage. These spray out may result in injury to manpower and damage to industrial equipment. As a prevention measure flange guard is used. Flange Guard contains the leakage and provides safe discharge to the leaking fluid. Flange guards are primarily available in four different material of construction :

1.PTFE (Teflon) Flange Guard: These flange shields are manufactured  from PTFE(Teflon) coated fibreglass fabric. Teflon is resistant to most of the known chemicals and fibreglass provides strength to the fabric. These Flange guards come with a leak indicating patch which changes colour on coming in contact with leaking fluid.

PTFE Flange Guard :

MAX Temperature : 240 Degree Celsius

MAX Pressure : 120 Bar

2.Stainless Steel 316 Flange Guard: These Flange guards can take very high temperature and are resistant to most of the chemicals. They come with pressure diffusion technology which diffuses the pressure of a leaking fluid and  provides a safe discharge.

Stainless Steel 316 Flange Guard :

MAX Temperature :-40 to 550 Degree Celsius

MAX Pressure : 2500 PSI

3.Clear type Flange guard : Clear type Shields have a Clear ETFE window stitched in the centre and PTFE Fabric on the sides. The transparent window allows easy identification of a leakage.

Clear Type Flange Guard :

MAX Temperature : 150 Degree Celsius

MAX Pressure : 120 Bar

4.PVC Flange Guard : PVC Flange guards are made up of  multi layered PVC fabric with leak indicating patch. They are resistant to most of the chemicals and are suitable for low temperature environment.

PVC Flange Guard :

MAX Temperature : 120 Degree Celsius

MAX Pressure : 1250 PSI
