NTA Will Conduct National Eligbility Cum Entrance Test (NEET)

While NTA will conduct and declare the result, the syllabus is prepared by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The Medical Council of India prepares the syllabus for the NEET exam after reviewing the curriculum of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council Board of School Education (COBSE) and National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT). So, it is vital to get hold of the complete NTA NEET 2019 exam syllabus right from the beginning and be well-versed in it.

NEET 2019 will be held in online mode. NEET 2019 will be held twice a year. You can appear for both exams. Your best score out of the two will be considered. National Testing Agency – a new body formed – will hold the exam instead of CBSE. NEET will be held in February and May. NTA will make practice module available at nta.ac.in in August. From August end, students can also visit nearby engineering colleges, CBSE / KV schools to practice. Main feature of NEET 2019 will be that students will not lose one year as there will be 2 exams before admission. Best score will be used for result. NTA will conduct computer based test. It will make exams safe, leak proof, scientific and transparent. Syllabus, nature of questions, choice of language and exam fee will not change.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must know the eligibility specified by NTA and check if they are eligible to apply for the test or not. The eligibility criteria for NEET 2019 are mentioned below. Age limit of the candidate must be between 17 to 25 years as on or before December 31, 2019. Candidates should be a citizen of India. Other nationals can also apply by proving their identity for the same. The J&K candidates are also eligible to apply for 15% of All India Quota.

NEET 2019 Application Form

Candidates should fill the application form as per the instructions given in the information bulletin. Below we are providing NEET 2019 application form details. The application form will be issued through online mode only. No application will be entertained through offline mode. NEET UG registration 2019 will be commenced from the 1st October 2018 (Feb Exam) & second week of March 2018 (May Exam). Candidates should upload the scanned images of recent passport size photograph and signature. After filling the application form completely, a confirmation page will be generated. Download it. There will be no need to send the printed confirmation page to the board.

NEET 2019 Exam Pattern

Below we are providing the details about NEET 2019 exam pattern:

Date of Exam: The exam will be organized on 3rd February to 17th February 2019 (Feb exam) & 12th May to 26th May 2019 (May Exam).

Mode of Exam: The exam will be organized through computer based (online) mode.

Type of Questions: There will be objective type questions in the exam.

Duration: The exam duration will be of three hours.

Number of Questions: Total 180 questions will be asked.

Language: The question paper will be asked in Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil, Urdu and Kananda languages.

Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, four marks will be given.

Negative Marking: For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.
