Batteries are the major source of operating different devices. The structure and size of the batteries are variable depending upon the type of application and its capacity as well. The lithium based batteries are composed of several features and properties that make it highly popular. It is greatly accepted by different battery manufacturing industries as it is loaded with lots of benefits.

Reasons for option lithium as battery materials

As compared to other battery materials, lithium based batteries do not suffer with the memory effect. It means that its capacity does not deteriorate with the time. It is usually analysed that most of the batteries if recharged without being discharged reduces its efficiency and even the energy storage capacity. This however is not with the case of lithium ion batteries.

Ageing factor determines the life of the lithium ion battery material. Charge and discharge factor is not so considerable point with respect to these batteries. Moreover, the self discharge rate of the lithium ion batteries is not so poor. High energy density is also the reason why many industries prefer such batteries. However, there are associated drawbacks of the lithium batteries as well.

Compare the features of the lithium ion battery material

Any industry that is looking for suitable battery material needs to understand the features and their properties as well. It is essential for the manufacturers to know the pros and cons of each type. Total operating time of the appliances also needs to be covered before any battery materials are used.

Too high or low temperature is not ideal for many batteries. The oxides, sulphides or chlorides of lithium that you are choosing should specifically fulfil your requirement. Go through the entire details and figure out the efficiency level of the particular materials before finally using it.
