Some Most Important Questions to Ask Your Roofing Professional Contractors

Not every day you need to hire a roofing contractor. Of course, you wonder where to start and the important questions to ask.

Use these ready-to-answer questions and the starting point to start working with a roofing contractor.

1: Are you licensed?

A valid roofing contractor will be licensed in the country where you reside. All states have their own laws and regulations, so a roofing contractor may not be in force in every state. You should be aware of your state code requirements and ensure that the roof you are setting has a valid and up-to-date license if the state requires it. Ask to see the license.

2: What are your local address and phone number?

It is a cause for concern if your expected surfaces do not have a local physical address and a way to contact them. It gives way to reliability. If an error occurs, how do you know that you can access a physical company to get help or get back your money? A good roofing contractor will have authentic contact information.

3: Do you have liability/worker insurance companies for your company and any of the subcontractors?

The roofing company must have liability insurance to cover any damage to your property during the project. If the company does not hold liability insurance, you may be responsible for paying all damages.

Workman insurance protects company employees. Some bishop builders will try to pay this insurance fee. However, if they do not have, you may be the person who pays for any medical problems and accidents that happen to the workers during work.

Ask to see a guide on each of the insurance companies – do not just take their word for it. You can also contact your insurance company and ask for your coverage.

4: What are the warranty on a new roof and its materials?

A good roofing company will support its business – they will have a good guarantee (about 25 years). You will also want to ask them about manufacturers’ guarantees about the materials they use. They are two different things. Make sure you cover both accounts.

5: References?

You can ask them about the references. They may or may not have a specific build on the privacy of the homeowner. You can also conduct your online research on company references and roofing works for other homeowners. Make sure you do a lot of online research on a company and have excellent reviews before you hire your bishop.
