SAN ANTONIO, Texas As early enrollees hit their respective campuses, the race for the nation’s top overall prospect remains a complete mystery as Michigan and Alabama continue to play the waiting game for Antioch, Calif.,five star running back Najee Harris.

For Harris, that’s just fine as he arrived for the Army All America Game on Saturday.

Harris verbally committed to Alabama in April of 2015, but the commitment has been considered soft for some time as Michigan and others have successfully gotten him on campus multiple times. Despite that, and despite being the No. 1 prospect in the country, Harris has preferred to be left mostly alone. He says Michigan and Alabama have done the best job of letting him be and that it’s made a difference for him.

“He’s great,” Lucido said. “If you don’t know him, I don’t know how you would take him. Once he feels comfortable with you, he’s great. He’s one of the team clowns. I think he shies away from the attention and wants to work, get better and play ball. He’s getting more comfortable with people now, but he still likes to keep to himself for the most part.”
