The sound of a specially designed race car is something that people around the world find intensely exciting. Vehicles are often worth a fortune and the people who guide them bravely become heroes for many. However, this rarefied world in which there are กีฬาแข่งรถ drivers does not adequately represent the many levels of grassroots motor sport that exist outside of this popular spectator hobby.

Although we can all get to know the famous single-seater race cars that appear on our TV screens on a Sunday afternoon, but motor sports have it much more, here are some examples:

Mountaineering

Hillclimbing is the process of climbing a narrow track against the clock. These ‘races’ are normally very short compared to other motor races, so precision and bravery are valued above almost everything else. Sometimes the vehicles being used are custom road cars with performance brakes and other performance auto parts to make them perform better, or they may even be self-built specialty vehicles whose primary job is to fast uphill. Often cars are divided into several classes so that everyone has a chance to compete for victory.

Adrift

Drifting is a fairly unique sport in that the winners are usually decided by a team of judges. Drift races are conducted in 2 rear-wheel drive cars that are driven excessively or “drift” on a track. Marks are awarded for the angle of the car relative to the actual direction of travel, smoke coming out of the wheels, and speed along the course. These cars are primarily custom road cars with VERY high power outputs to allow them to turn their wheels at apparently any speed.

Ice racing

Ice racing is exactly what it sounds like! Racing on ice! This incredibly spectacular form of motor sport can take place in many cold weather environments where snow and ice can take a cut course from them. The cars are modified road and race cars with custom suspension settings and custom studded tires for driving on ice.

Therefore, the world of motorsport is much more than a single seat or meeting that you may have seen on television. If you like the sound of any of these events, there will probably be one near you at some point. Contact your local motor sports venue and you may find that you can go watch at a relatively low cost. Who knows, you might catch the mistake and participate someday!
