RRB Recruitment

An official recruitment notification has been published by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC). As a part of this notification, it is being said that candidates will be recruited for the Group B post. There is 1199 total number of vacancies to be filled under this TNPSC recruitment. All eligible candidates must read whole of the eligibility criteria before filling the form for this recruitment. The online application forms for this vacancy have been made available from 10th of August, 2018 to 9th of September, 2018. All interested candidates will be able to fill the online application form by going to the official website for TNPSC i.e. www.tnpsc.gov.in . The forms for this recruitment will be filled online only; no other means for submitting the form will be applicable.

Exam Information:

The date of commencement of exam for Tamil Nadu PSC Group 2 posts is said to be on 11th of November, 2018.

The exam will have three levels of tests that are listed as follows:

  1. Preliminary Exam
  2. Mains Exam
  3. Personal Interview

The TNPSC exam is divided into two basic sections. One will consist of General Studies+ general Aptitude & Mental ability and another part will include the General Tamil or General English. As a part of General Studies, the examination will include a brief knowledge about Science, Indian Culture, History, Current Events, Indian Polity, Economy and few more study topics and subjects similar to these.

Selection Procedure:

Candidate passing in the prelims examination will be only be called for mains examination and rest others will be rejected after this screening test. The candidates will have to score at least equal or more than the minimum cutoff marks declared by TNPSC recruitment board. Then only they will be considered as pass in this examination. Once the main examination result is out the applicants passing in the mains exam will then be notified for final selection round which will consist of a personal interview followed by the document verification, in ever the candidate is appointed for the job.

Merit List: The merit list for TNPSC will contain the names and roll number of candidates who will pass in the examination. All passing candidates are requested to go through this list and ensure the availability of his/her name in the merit list. In case there name is not available but they have cleared the examination, then they should immediately contact the TNPSC help.

UPSC Recruitment

Cutoff Marks: It is the least number of marks that one should obtain for passing in the TNPSC examination. It is declared by the recruiting board. So the candidates will have to score well enoughto meet the declared Cutoff criteria, then only they will only be consider as pass in the TNPSC examination.

How to download the TNPSC result?

Steps for downloading the TNPSC result:

  • All candidates must visit the official website of TNPSC i.e. www.tnpsc.gov.in
  • After that, they need to locate the option for Result Download and click on it.
  • They will be directed to a new page that will ask then to login to their account with TNPSC.
  • So they will have to enter their login credentials, it will include their registration number and date of birth.
  • After typing in the login details they will have to click on “Submit” button and their result will load up.
  • So, then the candidates can view as well as download their result sheet by clicking on “Download” and getting it saved on their device drive.
